New York Design and digital production studio Charlex ventures into filmmaking with a 10-minute animated short titled ‘One Rat Short’, which tells the tale oof a subway rat who is led into an adventure of love and loss on a dark Manhattan night.  It won various accolades including the Best of Show in Siggraph computer animation festival and  official selection of the Cannes short film corner.

Elephants Dream is the world’s first open movie, made entirely with open source graphics software such as Blender,. The short film was created by the Orange Open Movie Project studio in Amsterdam during 2005/2006, bringing together a diverse team of artists and developers from all over the world.
